Since its introduction in 1987, The Jacobson Flare has significantly improved the precision of airplane landings, an area that remained largely unchanged since the conclusion of World War I in 1918. We also intend to share articles that reflect my 50 years of experience as a pilot and flight instructor/training captain within both general aviation and the Australian airline sectors. The experiences from my early career have influenced countless pilots whom I have had the privilege to train; successful flight instruction is as much about mutual learning as it is about teaching.
